The Green Background.

Do both these images have a bright green background?
 
           
 
If only the second image has the jarring green background then your web browser is working fine.

Why the ugly Green BG?   It's not a colour that appears too often, and like the "blue screen" technique that movie makers use, the green is easy to make invisible while not turning chunks of the image transparent at the same-time.
